AFC Bournemouth frustrated at time taken for PSG Zabarnyi deal

August 7, 2025

THE Cherries are getting increasingly frustrated in negotiations with PSG over a move for Illia Zabarnyi, the Daily Echo understands.

Talks between the clubs have stalled with the Bournemouth hierarchy holding out for more money on top of the current offer.

The price has to be right for the Cherries to sell Zabarnyi, and they aren’t willing to let him leave for less, despite Zabarnyi being keen on the move.

The club is frustrated with the time it is taking to get the deal agreed.

It is understood there are other Premier League clubs that are ready with concrete interest in the Ukrainian, should the deal with the Champions League winners fall through.

Reports have suggested that the Cherries are holding out for an extra €3million on top of the €60million plus €3million in add ons offer that has been submitted by PSG.

But PSG have not agreed to those terms and the Cherries are growing frustrated at the lack of progress around the deal.

Bournemouth have already lost Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid this summer, after the Spanish giants triggered his release clause at the end of last season.

They are yet to sign a replacement for the young centre back.
