With Cristiano Ronaldo in the team for one day, Manchester United won’t be able to win any championships!

September 23, 2022

According to the “Manchester Evening News” report, “Sky Sports” expert Paul Merson made it clear that with Ronaldo in the Manchester United team, the Red Devils cannot win any trophies this season. The professional made it clear that the presence of the Portuguese supergiant will detract from any efforts by his team-mates to lift the trophy.

United last won a trophy in the Europa League in 2016-17, and they went on to have five consecutive seasons without a harvest. Ten Hag now has the crowd on his shoulders to change that, and although they slipped at the start of the Premier League, they have won four in a row since then. However, Merson still insisted that Ronaldo’s return would not help them win the championship.

Merson explored Ronaldo’s current situation at Old Trafford, saying having to criticise such a great striker was the “hardest part” of his career as a famous football commentator. But he insisted.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Merson (a former Arsenal player) said: “The hardest part is you have to criticise one of the best players in football history.”

“Cristiano Ronaldo is a player 100 times better than me, but I still have to say that with him at Manchester United, the Red Devils can’t win anything.”

Interestingly, “Manwan” also reported Udinese’s pursuit of the Portuguese. Italian goalkeeper Silvestri responded to a post discussing Ronaldo on social media, @the Manchester United star and made it clear that he wanted him to join Udinese. The club responded quickly to this, and they shared Silvestri’s invitation on the club’s official media and expressed their support for it.

Udinese started this season very well, they are temporarily ranked third in Serie A with 5 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss; Manchester United are currently ranked fifth in the Premier League with 4 wins and 2 losses.
