William Gallas poses pressure question on Newcastle after Arsenal defeat

May 11, 2023

Nottingham Forest’s 4-3 win over Southampton on Monday has lifted them out of the relegation zone with just three games left.

But there is still work to do before they can put their feet up, safe in the knowledge that they will be playing Premier League football for another season. Steve Cooper’s side are currently three points above the bottom three.

They travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea this weekend in search of just a second win on the road in the league this season. Forest then face Arsenal at the City Ground before making the trip to Crystal Palace on the final day.

The Reds’ rise out of the drop zone is partly down to their relegation rivals faltering in their most recent match. Although Everton earned a stunning 5-1 win at Brighton, Leicester were thrashed 5-3 at Fulham, whilst Leeds lost 2-1 at Manchester City.

The Foxes face daunting fixtures against in-form Liverpool and Newcastle before hosting West Ham on the final day. Leeds also face the Magpies and the Hammers before ending the season against Tottenham at Elland Road.
