March 24, 2025

Exploring PSG’s goalkeeping options if the Italian goalkeeper leaves in the summer.

Gianluigi Donnarumma is undoubtedly one of the most divisive goalkeepers in the world. The former AC Milan shot-stopper was heavily criticised following the first-leg as he failed to save Harvey Elliott’s late strike that gave the win to Liverpool. However, the Italy international goalkeeper was the main man as Paris Saint-Germain knocked Liverpool out of the Champions League a couple of weeks ago, saving two crucial penalties in the shootout.

Since then, his future has been once again a subject of discussion among fans and pundits alike. Many would like to see him extend his contract beyond 2026 with the French champions while recent rumours are sending the 26-year-old back to Italy to joined Inter Milan in the summer to reunite with his former goalkeeping coach, Gianluca Spinelli.
