What Mourinho did before leaving Rome
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, a group of fans and kids visited José Mourinho at a hotel in Rome on Sunday before the Portuguese coach’s trip to Barcelona.
Mourinho reportedly left Rome on Sunday, a few days after being sacked by the Giallorossi.
Il Corriere dello Sport reports the ex-Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham boss was living at a hotel in the capital, in the Gianicolo neighbourhood, not too far from Vatican City. This is where many ordinary fans and kids visited him yesterday before a trip to Barcelona.
According to the report, Mourinho took time to sign autographs and take selfies with Giallorossi supporters and even ‘got emotional’ when he saw kids accompanied by their parents.
Mourinho headed to the airport afterwards, taking a flight to Barcelona.
It remains to be seen if he will soon return to the Peninsula as Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis is reportedly ready to meet him to offer him the job for 2024-25.
According to Gazzetta, Mourinho has rejected an offer from Saudi side Al Shabaab.
