Tottenham set for ‘free run’ at £70m transfer target who supports Arsenal

June 12, 2025

Tottenham are said to be interested in a move for a winger as they prepare to appoint a new manager.
Tottenham are being linked with a Premier League winger as they look to build a squad good enough to compete in the Champions League next season. Spurs need to strengthen significantly to make the step up. and whoever takes over from Ange Postecoglou is going to demand such improvements to take the job.

Thomas Frank is likely to be the next man in, and he will want players who fit his brand of football, which is an attractive brand at that. Injuries tore Tottenham’s season apart last term, and that highlighted the lack of depth within the squad, and unless it is addressed, it will be exposed further when competing in the higher level of the Champions League.

It has been a strange summer so far for Spurs, given their lack of manager, but we have still seen some players being linked with a move to the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium. Attackers are most commonly linked, which is no surprise given the space in the Tottenham attack, with Timo Werner returning to RB Leipzig.

One of the latest links involves AFC Bournemouth wideman Antonio Semenyo, who is being heavily linked with a move this summer. The 25-year-old scored 13 times and provided seven assists in the season just gone. The winger is under a long-term contract with the Cherries, and reports have claimed he will command an asking price of £70million this summer.
