Tottenham ‘interested’ in €45m Brazilian ace who is on Arsenal, Man Utd radar

February 20, 2024

Brazilian midfielder Ederson has been linked with a move to the Premier League at the end of the season.

A report from Gazzetta Dello Sport claims that Tottenham are ‘interested’ in signing the 24-year-old central midfielder and they will face competition from Arsenal and Manchester United.

The midfielder is reportedly valued at around €45 million and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham are prepared to pay up.

There is no doubt that they need more quality in the centre of the park and Ederson will add creativity and control from the deep. He could be the ideal replacement for air Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who has been linked with an exit from the club.

The Brazilian has shown his quality in the Italian league and he could be tempted to move to the Premier League now. It would be a major step up in his career and he would get to test himself at a high level. The 24-year-old has six goals and an assist to his name this season.

Meanwhile, Arsenal need to find a quality alternative to Thomas Partey. The Ghana international has had his fair share of injury problems this season and he will need to be replaced in the summer.

Manchester United will have to find quality alternatives for players like Sofyan Amrabat. The Moroccan international has been quite underwhelming during his loan spell. The Red Devils must look to bring in upgrades on players like Scott McTominay as well if they want to win major trophies.

All three clubs have the financial muscle to pay the reported €45 million asking price and it remains to be seen where Ederson ends up.
