Tottenham confirm Igor Tudor plan ahead of Liverpool trip

March 11, 2026

Tottenham look set to give Igor Tudor at least one more game in charge, despite overseeing a fourth defeat from four matches at the helm.

Spurs were humiliated away at Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night as an error-strewn display saw the Spanish giants storm into a 4-0 lead in their Champions League last-16 first-leg clash.

Young goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky bore the brunt of the mistakes, having committed two errors which directly led to goals after being drafted in to replace first-choice Guglielmo Vicario.

He first scuffed an attempted crossfield pass and Marcos Llorente subsequently slotted home, and then minutes later miscued a pass from Micky van de Ven in horror fashion, which allowed Julian Alvarez to walk the ball in.

Tudor replaced Kinsky shortly afterwards, with the team already three goals down, much to the dismay of pundits Joe Hart and Peter Schmeichel, the latter accusing the interim boss of “killing” the player’s career.

Spurs recovered some pride thanks to goals from Pedro Porro and Dominic Solanke, and take a 5-2 defeat back to London for next Wednesday’s second leg, but have now lost six games in a row across all competitions for the first time in the club’s long 144-year history.

It remains to be seen if Tudor will be in the dugout in a week’s time, but Spurs have confirmed that the Croat is set to be in charge for at least one more game.

Tudor will hold the traditional pre-match press conference at the club’s Hotspur Way training ground at 1.30pm GMT on Friday afternoon, to discuss the Premier League clash with Liverpool at Anfield.
