Tottenham chief Daniel Levy shows touch of class with Antonio Conte sack talks scheduled

March 25, 2023

Tottenham are expected to dismiss Antonio Conte before the Premier League recommences on April 1.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy wants to resolve Antonio Conte’s future face-to-face and has delayed talks with the Italian until the Spurs head coach returns to north London. The 53-year-old boss is now expected to be dismissed before the Premier League returns on April 1 but even still, Levy and Co are keen to hand the situation professionally.

On Thursday, Bayern head coach Julian Nagelsmann discovered he was being sacked by reports within the German media without receiving any formal communication from the club.

It was also reported that Thomas Tuchel had agreed to replace him on a two-and-a-half-year contract with immediate effect ahead of Bayern’s crunch title clash with Borussia Dortmund.

Tottenham want to go down a different route and although it has already been reported that Spurs are prepared to sack Conte, The Independent say they are hanging fire until Levy can conduct the talks face-to-face.

It’s understood Spurs have a number of different avenues they could pursue with the sacking of Conte, whose contract contains the option to extend for 12 months if he achieves a top-four finish this season.
