Chelsea will be desperate to extend their two-game winning streak on Saturday when they lock horns with Burnley at Turf Moor

Thiago Silva has sent Mauricio Pochettino a message ahead of Chelsea’s clash against Burnley. Vincent Kompany will welcome the Blues to Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon as either side looks to climb the Premier League table before the international break.

Chelsea head into the fixture following back-to-back victories over Brighton in the Carabao Cup and Fulham in the English top-flight. After a shaky start to the campaign, the west Londoners appear to have finally turned a corner and Pochettino will be desperate to extend his side’s winning streak.

As for Burnley, they currently sit third from bottom in the Premier League. However, the Clarets managed to pick up their first win of the season last week, beating Luton Town 2-1 on Tuesday night.

While Chelsea may have lost just once to Burnley across all competitions since 2009, winning 11 and drawing four, Silva understands that his side could be in for a difficult game. Ahead of the tie, the Brazil international posted a number of training pictures on Instagram with the caption: “Focused on Saturday

Following Chelsea’s win over Fulham on Monday night, Pochettino specifically demanded his players to ‘keep pushing’. The 51-year-old said: “In football, you always need to be ready for everything. Now we are focusing to try and prepare the game sat which will be tough also.

“It’s to keep working, give the players belief after two victories.. Keep designing the plan to provide them the best tools to perform and when you keep pushing and pushing you deserve what you wanted and so happy for the players.
