The two players Roma will cut from Europa League squad
Roma will only be able to include five of their seven new signings in their Europa League squad this season, forcing them to make a hard decision.
The Rossoneri carried out a low-cost summer transfer window due to restrictions imposed on them by their Financial Fair Play settlement with UEFA last year, limiting how much they can invest.
This agreement with UEFA also has ramifications for their Europa League campaign this season, limiting them to just five new inclusions in their registered squad.
Compared to the squad registered back in February, seven players have left, including Mady Camara, Nemanja Matic, Roger Ibanez, Nicolo Zaniolo and Georginio Wijnaldum.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport via Goal Italia, Roma are expected to exclude new signings Rasmus Kristensen and Sardar Azmoun from their registered Europa League squad, with the two considered the ‘least valuable’ of the seven new signings.
The other new arrivals this summer were Houssem Aouar, Romelu Lukaku, Evan Ndicka, Leandro Paredes and Renato Sanches.
