Stuttgart Sign $23 Million Rated Ermedin Demirovic To Replace Serhou Guirassy
It is now all but official. Despite issues at the initial medical, Serhou Guirassy will leave VfB Stuttgart and join Borussia Dortmund. But even before pen has been put to paper on the Guirassy deal, Stuttgart has already moved ahead and signed a replacement in the form of Augsburg forward Ermedin Demirovic.
“Ermedin Demirovic has shown the particular qualities that he has over a number of years now and has proven himself to be one of the top strikers in the Bundesliga,” said board member for sport Fabian Wohlgemuth in a club statement.
What are those qualities? “Ermedin knows how to score goals and how to set them up,” Wolgemuth said. “His experience and his mindset make him a real asset for our team.”
Demirovic had his breakout season with Augsburg last year. The 26-year-old forward, who, despite being born in Hamburg, Germany, represents Bosnia-Hercegovina, scored 15 goals and ten assists in 33 Bundesliga games for Augsburg last season.
