‘Starting to move’… Chelsea scouts have now been closely watching Champions League star
Fabrizio Romano has claimed that scouts of Chelsea have been closely watching one player who has already made his name in the Champions League this season.
He took to Twitter to state that the club have been tracking him in the knowledge that he is only currently under contract until the end of 2025.
Bardghji has already shown a lot of promise at just 18 years of age, and this has led to plenty of interest in his services.
The 18-year-old made his name earlier this season in the Champions League when he found the net against Manchester United in the group stage.
He found the net with minutes to go to make it 4-3, giving the Belgian side a better chance at qualifying than the Premier League outfit.
Romano has now claimed that Chelsea have had scouts watching the attacker in recent weeks.
Bardghji tracked by Chelsea
He said: “European top clubs are starting to move for Copenhagen’s Swedish 18 year old talent Roony Bardghji.
“He’s under contract until December 2025 — short deal making it an opportunity. Bayer Leverkusen, Juventus, Barcelona and Chelsea scouts have been tracking him.”
The Blues have not been shy to jump at the chance of signing some of the top young talents around the world before the rest of the elite sides get their hands on them.
One of the highlight additions so far has been Kendry Paez, who is unable to join up with the first team until 2025.
However, he has already become a regular for the senior national team at Ecuador, playing alongside club-record signing Moises Caicedo.
He has set plenty of records on his way to that level, suggesting there is a very bright future ahead for both the player and the club.
