Southampton Make Progress In Pursuit Of Ligue 1 Attacker
Southampton are making progress in their pursuit of Lorient striker Terem Moffi and are hoping to complete a deal to sign him this week, according to Report.
The Saints want to add more attacking firepower to their squad in the January transfer window as they look to boost their hopes of Premier League survival.
Nathan Jones has not made the brightest of starts as Southampton manager and is keen to reinforce his forward options this month.
Moffi has emerged as the big target for Southampton but Lorient were not believed to be keen to listen to offers for him in January.
But it has been claimed that Southampton have made significant advances in their pursuit of the attacker.
The Saints have made progress in talks to sign the striker and are looking to conclude a deal soon.
Southampton are hopeful by the end of this week a deal for Moffi to join them will be in place.
The striker is having a brilliant season in Ligue 1 where he has scored ten times in 16 appearances.
Only Kylian Mbappe and Neymar have scored more goals than Moffi in the French top flight in the ongoing campaign.
