Sheffield Wednesday eye Leeds United forward along with Huddersfield Town

June 28, 2026

Sheffield Wednesday are in the hunt for some new faces as they look to bolster their ranks ahead of the start of the new 2026/27 season in League One.

Sheffield Wednesday are interested in a loan move for Leeds United forward Harry Gray, according to journalist Alan Nixon on his Patreon page.

Sheffield Wednesday are keen to land the Premier League attacker on a temporary basis this summer as they prepare for life in League One. SWFC will be eyeing an immediate promotion back to the Championship following their relegation along with Leicester City and Oxford United.

Gray, 17, is highly-rated by Leeds United but they have a decision to make regarding his immediate future amid attention from the Football League in this transfer window. He is under contract at Elland Road until June 2027 and has a bright future ahead of him in the game with the Whites.

In this latest update regarding his situation, reporter Nixon has claimed on his Patreon page that he has emerged on the radar of the Owls along with their rivals Huddersfield Town. Barnsley and Wigan Athletic are also said to be keen but are prepared to be pipped to his signature.

Sheffield Wednesday have been busy on the recruitment front over recent times. They have recently secured deals for Ricardo Santos and Jordi Liongola, with more additions expected to be on the way.
