Roma set to contact Claudio Ranieri
Serie A side Roma are yet to appoint a manager to replace Ivan Juric but they are set to make contact for former boss Claudio Ranieri.
Ranieri has managed Roma twice in his career and La Gazzetta dello Sport believe that the club could be nearing the possibility of having him as manager for the third time in history.
On Tuesday evening, in fact, Ranieri boarded for the English capital where the Friedkin Group is present in full force . The former Cagliari coach, accompanied by his agent Pietro Chiodi, landed in the English capital where the Giallorossi’s fate will be decided.
Ranieri will discuss two solutions with the Roma owners: the role of the interim manager or that of technical director capable of helping another coach and filling the managerial void at Trigoria. The Italian would prefer being a manager, as things stand.
The club contacted Vincenzo Montella through intermediaries today and while there is a clause in his Turkey contract which could help the Giallorossi, a move is said to be unlikely.
