Rivaldo backs Vitor Roque to prove Barcelona wrong at Real Betis

Former Barcelona star Rivaldo is backing Vitor Roque to prove the Catalans wrong if he secures a move to Real Betis.

The youngster is expected to sign for Betis shortly on a loan deal after struggling to impress at Barca since his arrival in January.

Rivaldo thinks it’s a good move for Vitor Roque and that he can shine at the Benito Villamarin.

“Vitor is going to a great club. It’s a great team to play for. I think it will be easier for him to compete in a league like the Spanish league, where he will show that he is a great player. Being in the same league as Barça will help him,” he told AS.

“He’s going to show that the team has been too hasty in accepting his departure and letting him go this season. He has everything to make his time at Betis a success, with minutes and the support of a great fanbase,’ predicted the former Barcelona legend.”

Vitor Roque has had a pretty miserable time at Barca since arriving. He’ll be hoping the deal goes through quickly and that he can go on and enjoy regular minutes with Manuel Pellegrini’s side.
