Rennes consider move for Freiburg’s Kiliann Sildillia

Stade Rennais will look to revitalise their squad once again this summer. As per a report from Mohamed Toubache-Ter, two Frenchmen currently plying their trade in the Bundesliga are being considered by the Breton club.

Rennes finished mid-table this season, way short of the club’s objective of re-attaining European football. That was despite significant investment in the playing squad. Frédéric Massara, who only joined as sporting director last year, paid the price. He has since been replaced by Loïc Désiré, who has joined from RC Strasbourg Alsace.

Caci also a target for OGC Nice
He is already getting to work on the transfer window. As per Toubache-Ter, Kiliann Sildillia (23) is a target. The France U21 international currently plays for Freiburg. Désiré is a fan of Sildillia. He is also a fan of Anthony Caci (27), who plays for Mainz. The midfielder joined the Bundesliga club from Désiré’s former side, Strasbourg, back in 2022. Caci, however, is also of interest to Ligue 1 rivals OGC Nice.
