Real Madrid’s Bellingham Trumps Haaland, Mbappé, Proclaims Villarreal Boss
With Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo no longer playing in Europe, the debate topic surrounding football is who will now hold the title of the best footballer in the world. All eyes are on Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland.
However, one player has emerged with Real Madrid: Jude Bellingham. Mbappé and Haaland can rack up goals, but the Englishman also has a scoring touch.
Current CF Villarreal and former Olympique de Marseille manager Marcelino García Toral shared his thoughts on who’s the best player. For the Spanish tactician, there’s no question that the midfielder is above Haaland and Mbappé.
“He is extraordinary,” Toral said (h/t Bernabeu Digital). “He is the best-performing player in Europe… He has a lot of involvement in the final third of our field and also in the finishing facet.”
Even though Real Madrid has Bellingham, Los Blancos want the Frenchman, so they’ll reportedly pursue him once the January transfer window opens. Mbappé will have 15 days to accept their offer as the Spanish side stands firm.
Still, with PSG in the UEFA Champions League round of 16, it’s challenging to envision the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner deciding on his future next month.
