Real Madrid will send €180 million bid for Mbappe if he publicly says he wants to leave
The world has its eyes on Real Madrid. The Merengues have dreamt of signing Kylian Mbappe for several years now, yet are making no conspicuous efforts to swoop the player when PSG are open to selling him.
Florentino Perez’s silence, however, does not reflect any decrease in Real Madrid’s desire to sign the player. In fact, Carlo Ancelotti needs the superstar now more than ever.
We relayed earlier this summer that Los Blancos would not make a move until talks were initiated by PSG or Mbappe himself. The administration continues to be rooted in its stance.
According to reports from L’Equipe, Florentino Perez has an opening bid of €180 million ready to send to Paris for their star player.
However, he is just waiting for the winger to openly call for Real Madrid. The day Mbappe says “I want to leave PSG,” the club president will send the official proposal.
PSG banish Mbappe from training
At this point, it is clear that the superstar does not wish to renew in Paris. Even being omitted from the pre-season tour did not change his mind.
Reports last week revealed that the French club had offered Mbappe a new contract renewal once again. The fresh deal included a guaranteed sell clause for the summer of 2024. Yet, the player rejected it.
As such, Mbappe has been asked to train away from the squad that Luis Enrique has at his disposal and continue training with the ‘undesirables’ who are not part of the club’s plans for the upcoming season.
The Frenchman will not be considered for selection over the coming month either, until his future is resolved, one way or the other.
Mbappe is looking for a house
Real Madrid and Mbappe have been surprisingly silent through the entire saga this summer. However, both parties have made slow moves in the shadows.
Reports yesterday revealed that Mbappe is already looking for a house in Madrid. If the claims are to be believed, there appears to be a concrete understanding between the player and Los Blancos over a transfer.
PSG initially demanded €300 million for their star, and now appear to have lowered their demands to €250 million. While Real Madrid’s bid of €180 million still falls short, one must remember that it is the Merengues who are in the driver’s seat.
