Real Madrid sensation Jude Bellingham will win the Golden Boy 2023 Award – report

Jude Bellingham was the undisputed star for Real Madrid as they secured a narrow 2-1 victory over Barcelona last evening.

The former Borussia Dortmund starlet scored both goals, helping his team secure three crucial points, which in turn, ensured that Real Madrid remain on top of the league table.

In the aftermath of the performance, MARCA has come up with a report suggesting that the Englishman is now the undisputed favourite to win the Golden Boy award this year.

It appears Bellingham dominated the 2023 Golden Boy voting. There was not a shred of doubt among the jury. As a result, it was a clean sweep.

The Englishman, after all, has had an extraordinary season so far, racking up 13 goals and three assists in his first 13 competitive matches.

This has played a crucial role in helping Real Madrid start the season on a positive note, especially following the summer exit of main goalscorer Karim Benzema.

A well-deserved award
It must be noted that Bellingham had missed out on the Golden Boy award in the past two successive years.

He was among the favourites to win the prestigious award last year, but he was trumped by Gavi, much to everyone’s surprise.

In the year before, it was another Barcelona player, in the form of Pedri, to win the Golden Boy, once again at the expense of Bellingham.

But following his move to Real Madrid and an extraordinary start to the season, Bellingham is the unrivalled favourite to finally win the award this year.
