Real Madrid player could make rare start vs Real Sociedad

May 2, 2023

Real Madrid’s hopes of winning La Liga are as good as over. As a result, they should not be too concerned about the remaining league matches this season, especially when they have a Copa del Rey final and a Champions League semi-final tie coming up. On top of that, one has to remember that a number of the club’s players are struggling with fitness issues as well.

Thus, all things considered, one should expect Carlo Ancelotti to field a somewhat different Real Madrid line up when they take on Real Sociedad in midweek. After all, they have a Copa del Rey final against Osasuna coming up this weekend and three days after that, they will take on Manchester City at Santiago Bernabeu in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie.

But then again, Real Madrid do not have a lot of options and also have players out with injuries. So, there are only a limited amount of changes that Ancelotti can make.

Thus, it will be very interesting to see how Real Madrid are set up in the game against Real Sociedad. Expect a couple of players to get some much needed minutes though.

AS named Eden Hazard in Real Madrid’s possible eleven for the match against Real Sociedad at the Reale Arena.

Hazard has barely played this season and appears to be the last choice winger in Ancelotti’s team. This might be the perfect opportunity for him to be given some playing time, while also allowing others to rest and recover.

With six games to go in La Liga, Barcelona sit 11 points ahead of Real Madrid. As a result, the result against Real Sociedad is not expected to have much of an effect on the fate of the title race.
