Real Madrid earmark Sevilla clash in October as return date for injured superstar
Real Madrid are currently at the top of the La Liga table, with four consecutive victories.
This is despite the fact that their star player Vinicius Jr is out injured, effectively leaving the club without their primary weapon in the goalscoring department.
Fortunately for Real Madrid, Jude Bellingham has upped the ante and has been enjoying an extraordinary start to life in Bernabeu.
Expected return date for Vinicius
A recent report from AS has offered a fresh update on the fitness of Vinicius, as we brace ourselves for the first international break of the season.
Initial reports indicated a period of up to six weeks on the sidelines for Vinicius. It meant that he could be available to play against Osasuna during the first week of October.
In fact, more recent reports suggested that the superstar was even targeting a return for the Madrid derby against Atletico Madrid in the last week of September.
However, as per AS, Real Madrid are not willing to take any risks, in regard to the health of Vinicius and would give him additional time to recover.
In fact, Real Madrid are pegging Vinicius’ return on October 21/22, when they take on Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
Real Madrid want to avoid risk of international call-up
This would provide the attacker with an additional period of two weeks to recover from his injury. Not to mention, there is an international break in between, which plays into the hands of Real Madrid.
The Spanish giants would want to avoid international action for the Brazilian, even though the player himself is always keen on playing for his nation.
Nevertheless, Vinicius is working normally in Valdebebas right now. He was recently seen visiting an F1 race in Monza, where he met Lewis Hamilton.
As the Brazilian continues his recovery process, Real Madrid would hope that Jude Bellingham maintains his current run of goalscoring form in the weeks to come.
