Real Madrid are interested in three Serie A strikers

May 3, 2023

Real Madrid could do with another striker. Karim Benzema is a fantastic player without doubt and has recently scored three hattricks. At the same time though, it is also true that he is 35 years of age and has been dealing with constant fitness issues throughout the campaign. Thus, sooner or later, the club will need to bring in another forward.

They have been linked with plenty of names in recent times. Of course, Erling Haaland would be the dream signing.

It would be very difficult to get a deal done for the Norwegian though. At the end of the day, he is playing some fantastic football at Manchester City, who are one of the best teams in Europe and are challenging for a treble. Thus, not only would the transfer fee be a hurdle but convincing him to leave could be difficult as well.

As a result, Real Madrid should keep their options open and have an eye on other strikers as well. And it looks like they are interested in three currently playing their football in Serie A.

As reported by Calciomercato, there are three tracks that lead to Italy and that offer different perspectives. The three strikers are Dusan Vlahovic of Juventus, Victor Osimhen of Napoli and Rasmus Hojlund of Atalanta.

Of course, all three would be intriguing options. Vlahovic is one of the most highly-rated young strikers in the world although there are question marks over his future at Juventus.

Osimhen has made the jump this season and has to be considered as one of the very best strikers in the game right now. There is plenty of interest in the Napoli superstar and understandably so.

And finally, there is the case of Hojlund. Perhaps the most interesting of the three. The Danish international is just 20 years of age and has earned comparisons with Haaland. His numbers for Atalanta are not exceptional yet though, as he is still someone who is on the rise and not the complete striker yet.
