Rashford, Casemiro, Shaw – Manchester United injury news and return dates
Man United have a number of key players on the sidelines although some may be back in action soon, all being well.
Manchester United have been plagued by injuries this season, and Marcus Rashford has now become the latest player to succumb to a setback.
The attacker failed a late fitness test ahead of the win over Fulham and was left out of the squad. There are a number of other players in the treatment room ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League tie against Copenhagen.
Casemiro is a player United will be without for that clash. The Brazilian featured in midweek but picked up another issue that will keep him out for several weeks. Some are closer to returning than others.
Marcus Rashford
Injury: Unspecified
The striker was ruled out of the win over Fulham after failing a late fitness test having sustained a heavy knock in training this week. The fact he was able to undertake a late assessment gives hope that Rashford might be back in time for the midweek Champions League trip to Copenhagen.

Casemiro
Injury: Hamstring
The midfielder has been ruled out for “several weeks” after sustaining a hamstring injury in the League Cup defeat to Newcastle. That was his first outing after recovering from a foot injury picked up during last month’s international break.
The vague timeline delivered by the club and nature of the injury means his return date is ambiguous.

Luke Shaw
Injury: Muscular
The defender has made good progress on his return but is not expected to be back before this month’s international break, which commences in just over a week’s time.
