Shakhtar Donetsk’s Marlon Gomes halved his team’s deficit against Borussia Dortmund in the 50th minute of their clash at the Signal Iduna Park on Wednesday, after Serhou Guirassy struck twice for the hosts.

But if the Ukranian side had any thought of completing a comeback, it was shattered in the 79th minute when Ramy Bensebaini and Giovanni Reyna combined for a stunning goal for Dortmund.
