PSG dealt another blow as Mbappe replacement ‘dreams of Real Madrid’ too

Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid is finally set to be completed. Years after the links first emerged, the player has taken the required steps from his end and is now all but set to join the club of his dreams.

Knowing the player’s irrefutable desire to sign for Real Madrid, PSG have accepted their fate and are looking out for replacements.

As revealed by Defensa Central, however, they face the same rejection even by replacement candidates.

Lightning strikes twice

The Spanish news outlet reveals that Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Napoli’s star in attack, is the French club’s top choice to replace the departing superstar. In fact, they are willing to shell out €80 million for his acquisition.

However, he too dreams of joining Real Madrid and does not favour a move to Paris this summer. The player is seriously considering his future but sees Los Blancos or the Premier League as his only two viable options.

Napoli will try and renew the player this summer, and it remains to be seen what comes of it. However, it is clear that the player dreams of a move to the Bernabeu in the future.

After all, he even received a special personalised shirt from Real Madrid legend Guti last year when he was linked with a move to the Spanish capital.

As such, PSG might be forced to look elsewhere in search of Mbappe’s replacement.

Dates being finalised

Speaking of Kylian Mbappe, his arrival at Real Madrid is advanced, so much so that dates are already being discussed around the official announcement.

The only hurdle preventing an immediate announcement, however, is the chance of a PSG-Real Madrid clash in the UEFA Champions League.

Should one of the two sides be eliminated and PSG secure the league title with games to spare, the official announcement could be made as early as the final match-day of Ligue 1.

The player’s presentation, meanwhile, is scheduled to take place on the day preceding, or following, Taylor Swift’s massive concert at the Bernabeu.
