Nottingham Forest have Bundesliga ace ‘on their list’ but face Everton & West Ham transfer race
Nottingham Forest reportedly face competition from West Ham United and Everton for FC Union Berlin forward Sheraldo Becker.
The 28-year-old has scored eight goals across all competitions for the Bundesliga side during the current campaign and would be the second player to recently join the Reds from the German club after Taiwo Awoniyi’s arrival last summer – if a deal was to be done.
His team are currently fourth in the Bundesliga as they battle to qualify for next season’s Champions League. But according to reports, he may end up making a move to the City Ground in the summer if the Reds can see off completion from Everton and West Ham.
According to SportBILD and as translated by SportWitness, the trio have the forward “on their list” ahead of the summer with the player aware that he could earn “twice as much” in England as he does in Germany. The report states that his current contract runs until 2025 so there is no pressing need for Union to sell at this moment in time.
They report that Forest initiated talks about a potential deal back in December, with Everton’s interest emerging during the January transfer window. And now West Ham are reportedly looking at signing Becker amid doubts over the future of their Italian forward Gianluca Scamacca.
