MARSEILLE MAKE APPROACH FOR BRIGHTON’S SIMON ADINGRA

July 16, 2024

Roberto De Zerbi, recently named as the new manager at Olympique de Marseille, has shown an interest in being reunited with former players. OM continue to be strongly linked with a move for Juventus’ Manuel Locatelli, with whom the Italian manager worked at Sassuolo.

More recently, De Zerbi managed at Brighton and Hove Albion, before departing the Premier League club at the end of last season. He may now return to his former club as he looks to reinforce his forward line following the departure of Iliman Ndiaye, whilst Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ismaïla Sarr may both yet leave.

Simon Adingra (22) is a target for Marseille this summer, according to a report from L’Équipe. The Ivory Coast international joined the Seagulls back in 2022 for a €8m fee before spending a year out on loan. Last season, the right winger played 40 times for Brighton, netting seven goals and registering three assists.

Adingra was one of De Zerbi’s most trusted figures last season, and he may now be looking to reunite with him at the Vélodrome in Marseille.
