Married Premier League star and England ace gags secret lover with £20,000 payment and legal Non-Disclosure Agreement
A married Premier League star and England ace has gagged his secret lover with a £20,000 payment and a legal Non-Disclosure Agreement.
His actions were condemned as ‘intimidating behaviour’ by a women’s group, according to the Sun.
The married footballer reportedly made the single mother sign the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and paid her £20,000 hush money.
The affair reportedly started in 2019 and involved several hotel visits by the footballer, who played for the English national team, and the single mother, both before and after he married his wife.
Teresa Parker, communications chief at Women’s Aid, told the Sun: ‘It is horrendous for a woman to be faced with intimidating behaviour from a football player, whereby she feels forced to sign an NDA and delete photos and messages.’
She added that Women’s Aid was running a campaign called Football United Against Domestic Violence to promote healthy relationships.
The campaign would also emphasise that if footballers used their money and social status to intimidate women, it would be abuse.
When the single mother opposed the NDA at first, the footballer allegedly ‘got aggressive’ and threatened her by saying: ‘I know where you live.’
He also made her delete photos and messages proving their affair, the woman claimed.
After she signed the NDA and the married England star paid her the £20,000 hush money, the affair continued.
