‘Many good players coming’ – Former La Masia chiefs offer exciting Barcelona update
Barcelona have been told there’s plenty more talented players coming through La Masia after seeing academy graduates star for the club this season.
Pau Cubarsi, Lamine Yamal and Marc Casado have been brilliant in recent weeks, joining the likes of Gavi and Alejandro Balde in making their mark on the first team.
Jordi Roura and Aureli Altimira, who were Barcelona’s youth academy directors from 2014 to 2021, say there are plenty more exciting players on their way.
“There are many, many good players coming. There are already players who are making their mark in the first team, like Andrés Cuenca, Sergi Domínguez, the cousins Toni and Guille Fernández with a beastly competitive ability,” they told Mund Deportivo.
“Dani Rodríguez, Quim Junyent, a great batch in the cadets… The important thing is that there are quality players and in all positions. There are replacements for the future.”
Cuenca and Domínguez have already featured this season, while the Fernandez cousins have been in and around the squad and will be hoping for chances in the first-team this season.
