Manchester United are considering a move for Tottenham’s top striker

September 23, 2022

Manchester United are considering a move for Tottenham striker Harry Kane, with the England international hoping to replace Ronaldo at Old Trafford, sources from Fichajes claim. Manchester United are not the only club interested in Kane, however, they will also face stiff competition from defending Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich and Premier League rivals Chelsea.

With Kane’s contract set to expire in 2024, Tottenham need to make a decision on his future. The world’s top attacker has yet to win a major trophy with Tottenham, so it’s no surprise that Kane wants to leave. Cashing in on Kane next summer could be a smart move for Tottenham if he insists on not renewing his contract with the club.

Ronaldo has been linked with a move away from Manchester United since the summer and the 37-year-old has spent most of the season so far on the bench with Ten Hag at centre-forward Rashford was chosen. It’s clear that Ronaldo is going through a tough time, and the Portuguese superstar can’t reach the heights he once was. Therefore, it would be a wise thing for Manchester United to bring in Kane, who is still in his prime, to replace Ronaldo.

Manchester United have no advantage in Kane’s transfer race, first of all they need to win the chance to play in next season’s Champions League. For Kane, who is eager to win the title, Bayern Munich is more attractive. In the highly competitive Premier League, it is not easy for Manchester United to win the championship. They have not won a trophy in recent years. For Kane, who will turn 30 next year, United are not on his radar at the moment.
