Man Utd ‘fed up’ with £73m flop who is ‘on his way to leaving’ amid Saudi Pro League transfer claim

September 5, 2023

According to reports, Manchester United are ‘fed up’ with Jadon Sancho, who is ‘on his way to leaving’ the Premier League giants.

Sancho was a long-term Man Utd target before he completed his £73m move to Old Trafford from Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund in 2021.

The Englishman was thrilling to watch when he was playing with full confidence in a Dortmund shirt but he has endured a nightmare spell at Man Utd.

The winger has impressed in fits and starts but he has lacked consistency and he now appears to have fallen out with head coach Erik ten Hag.

The 23-year-old was left out of Man Utd’s squad for their 3-1 loss to Arsenal on Sunday. He offered a scathing response via social media after Ten Hag claimed that his absence was due to his “training performance”.

“Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue,” Sancho tweeted.

“I have conducted myself in training very well this week. I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into, I have been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair! All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team.

“I respect all decisions that are made by the coaching staff, I play with fantastic players and grateful to do so which I know every week is a challenge. I will continue to fight for this badge no matter what!”

Spanish outlet Fichajes are now reporting that United are ‘fed up’ with Sancho.

The report claims that the attacker is ‘on his way to leaving Old Trafford sooner rather than later’ and the ‘door has been open’ for a transfer ‘for a long time’.

In response to Sancho’s social media outburst, club legend Rio Ferdinand suggested that he could sign for a Saudi Pro League club before their transfer window closes on Thursday.

“There’s no way Jadon is putting out a statement like that if he hasn’t in his own eyes performed well,” Ferdinand said via his Vibe with Five podcast.

“That’s the difference as well. On his chart, Jadon [might think] – ‘I’ve trained alright’, but the manager might have a different standard. There’s two ways this ends. There’s only one window open now and that’s Saudi. Or you’re on the bench or not getting in the squad for the rest of the season.”
