Man City prioritise signing of Premier League’s Brazilian star, willing to pay €70 million for him

February 12, 2024

In the summer of 2024, Manchester City under Pep Guardiola will give top priority to signing Lucas Paqueta of West Ham United.

Man City are always searching for players to add to their already impressive squad, according to a report from Fichajes.

The English champions have already decided their plans for the summer transfer window, and they intend to pay €70 million for Lucas Paqueta.

They view Paqueta as a unique talent and Pep Guardiola prioritises having him in their squad. They have had their eye on him for more than a year and now they are planning to make firm move in the summer.

The 26-year-old forward joined West Ham in the summer of 2022, and since then, he has never looked back. He has played well anywhere he has been asked to play for the Hammers, appearing in a variety of roles throughout the pitch.

Guardiola is drawn to his consistency and adaptability. Lucas Paqueta, according to the Spanish manager, is a perfect fit for his system. During the summer of last year, they came quite close to signing the Brazil international. Unfortunately for City though, the transfer was unsuccessful.

Even though Man City were unable to sign him, they are still considering the 26-year-old’s services. They are prepared to act in the summer after keeping an eye on him. The Brazil international, in the opinion of the Citizens, has a great chance of assisting them in continuing to rule both the Premier League and Europe.

Lucas Paqueta would have more chances to win important trophies under Guardiola’s leadership if he joined Man City.

City reportedly wants to pay Paqueta €70 million in order to get his services. The Premier League team are expected to put maximum effort to secure their desired aim. In less than six months, it will be interesting to see what their opening offer looks like.
