LYON ANNOUNCE AN OPEN TRAINING SESSION FOR SUNDAY
Olympique Lyonnais have announced an open training session on Sunday following their 2-1 win over FC Metz yesterday, reports L’Équipe.
Les Gones are on a run of five consecutive victories in all competitions and Friday’s comeback victory over Metz, including a first goal for January signing Said Benrahma (28), temporarily moving six points clear of the relegation zone ahead of the rest of the weekend’s fixtures. The club are looking to harness the wave of optimism engulfing the team at the moment and released a statement confirming the open session:
“This moment will be the chance for the fans to share this session with the players, a few days before our Coupe de France quarter final encounter with RC Strasbourg”
Lyon host Strasbourg at Groupama Stadium on Tuesday evening, bidding to make a fourth Coupe de France semi-final in five years. The five-time winners were beaten 1-0 by FC Nantes in last year’s semi-final.
