Luton Town – Time To Bounce Back

October 5, 2023

Football can be a cruel sport, especially in the higher echelons of the game, as we witnessed on Tuesday evening.

After the confidence boost the Hatters received, after the fine 2-1 win away to Everton, it was hoped that the visit of Burnley would provide the Hatters with a second Premier League win of the season.

But sadly, it wasn’t to be.

Despite a gallant performance, in the second half, that saw Luton Town equalise, to make it 1-1, a moment of slackness, seconds later, saw the Hatters slip to an unexpected defeat.

Thankfully, for the time being, we still remain clear of the dreaded relegation zone.

The beauty of this wonderful game is that you don’t have to wait too long for the next fixture to arrive and that is exactly the case when Tottenham Hotspur come to Kenilworth Road, this Saturday.

In my opinion, the visit of Tottenham is by far our biggest test of the season so far.

Despite losing Harry Kane, in the summer transfer window, and the appointment of a new manager in Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham have wasted no time in establishing themselves as potential Premier League title contenders.

Indeed, such is their threat, I we start as sluggishly as we did in the first half against Burnley, the game could be all over by half time.

But having said that, it is a wonderful opportunity for the Hatters to raise their game, and inflict the first defeat Tottenham have suffered, in the Premier League, this season.

Can Luton Town claim a big scalp this Saturday?
