Luton – Duo Could Be Heading To Barnsley
According to The 72, Admiral Muskwe is set to step on to the tried and trusted road that sees deals between Luton Town and Barnsley becoming commonplace.
Muskwe, who joined the Hatters from Leicester City, in July 2021 for an undisclosed fee, has made 22 league appearances for Luton Town, but failed to score a goal.
Last season he spent time, on loan, at Fleetwood Town. With Muskwe having little impact in the Championship last season, it is hard to see him forcing his way into the Premier League squad and a move to the League One side, may well be what he needs to prevent his career from stagnating.
The other piece of speculation uncovered, infers that Barnsley, as we expected after his loan spell at Oakwell last season, has, according to The Real EFL commenced talks with Harry Isted about putting pen-to-paper on a permanent deal. However, our source also suggests that any talks with Barnsley could open up a path that could see several other clubs express an interest in the 26-year-old keeper who many Luton fans feel unlucky to not be offered a contract by Luton Town
Indeed, a recent poll where we asked the question:
Have Luton Town Made A Mistake in Releasing Harry Isted?
Of the plethora of votes lodged, 67% went for the YES option.
Here at Vital Luton Town, we’ll endeavour to keep abreast of the situation and report back as deemed necessary.
