Liverpool transfer news as representatives ‘fly out’ for Brazilian star and $49m ace ‘scouted’

Liverpool goes into the latest international transfer break in good form. Despite the draw with Luton and the surprise defeat to Toulouse in the Europa League, Jürgen Klopp’s side got back to winning ways against Brentford in the Premier League, putting on a brilliant display in the 3-0 win.
Two goals from Mohamed Salah and one from Diogo Jota secured the victory. It means Liverpool go into the massive game against Manchester City on November 25 just a single point behind the reigning English champions at the apex of the Premier League.
After the hangover of 2022-23, this season Liverpool looks like genuine title contenders, and a win against Pep Guardiola’s side at the end of the month would be a real statement of intent from this new-look Klopp side going into 2024. Everything is to play for.
There’s a lot more of the season still to go, but considering how bad things were this time a year ago, Liverpool can be happy with how the opening three months of the campaign have gone. Everything looks a lot better compared to January and February time.
And of course, the transfer rumor mill continues to rumble on throughout it all, especially now as we approach the opening of the winter window. Here is the Liverpool.com verdict on the transfer gossip to emerge around the Reds today.
Archie Gray (Leeds United)
The 17-year-old’s performances for the Yorkshire side haven’t gone unnoticed by some of the bigger sides in England, and Liverpool is no exception. According to Fabrizio Romano in his column for the Daily Briefing, Liverpool is keeping tabs on Gray’s development at Leeds, and ‘appreciate’ the midfielder.
Gray has made 15 appearances for Leeds this season. He is the son of the former Leeds midfielder Andy Gray, who played briefly for the Championship side in the 1990s. The Daily Mail reported Liverpool’s interest last week and claimed he would be valued at $49m (£40m/€46m).
