Liverpool face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Sunday

Liverpool could be without three first-team players for this weekend’s Premier League clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Reds welcome Vitor Pereira’s side to Anfield on Sunday and know that victory over the Midlanders will see them maintain a substantial lead over Premier League title rivals Arsenal.

Liverpool could only manage a 2-2 draw in Wednesday’s Merseyside derby against Everton, with James Tarkowski smashing home a 98th-minute equaliser for the Blues after Alexis Mac Allister and Mohamed Salah had put Arne Slot’s on the brink of a historic victory at Goodison Park.

However, Liverpool’s return to action this weekend will come without Joe Gomez, Tyler Morton, and possibly Cody Gakpo.

Gomez and Morton are set to be sidelined for the foreseeable future with their respective hamstring and shoulder injuries, while Slot revealed on Friday that Gakpo could miss Sunday’s clash after picking up a knock.

Here, the ECHO looks at the latest details surrounding the trio:

Joe Gomez
Gomez returned to action at Plymouth Argyle last Sunday after a six-week injury lay-off but lasted just 11 minutes before he suffered a recurrence and had to be replaced by Isaac Mabaya.
