Marseille travel north just a point above Lens in the Ligue 1 Uber Eats table, and with anticipation and excitement at fever pitch among French football fans with the game potentially proving decisive in the race to claim a top two place and with it automatic qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League group stage.
“It’s gonna be a great show, a lot of people are going to talk about the game,” said Samba, who made just four first-team appearances for Marseille between 2013 and 2017. “I was at OM before, I’ve gotten a lot of messages. But I told my teammates: I would like to play but also be a spectator to watch the game. It’s very good for the French league to have this kind of game.”
