Kylian Mbappe could be about to wreck Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag’s Plan B for summer
Kylian Mbappe could derail Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United Plan B in the summer transfer window.
Manchester United could be set to miss out on Erik ten Hag’s Plan B striker option in the summer transfer window, according to reports. Kylian Mbappe is said to be the driving force in Randal Kolo Muani potentially completing a big-money switch to Paris Saint-Germain.
Ten Hag has prioritised signing a new striker this summer to address United’s over-reliance on Marcus Rashford.
His goal against Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday saw Rashford hit 29 goals in a career-best season.
But the next highest goalscorer at United is Bruno Fernandes on 10, while Ten Hag’s side have been criticised for their lack of a clinical touch this season.
Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Napoli frontman Victor Osimhen are reportedly the Dutchman’s preferred options.
He’s also been credited with an interest in Kolo Muani, who has enjoyed an impressive debut season at Eintracht Frankfurt after joining for free last summer.
