Julian Nagelsmann says Germany was “almost perfect” in Nations League win

November 17, 2024

Naglesmann has the national team rolling through the group stage.

Germany cruised to a 7-0 victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina in the fifth match of the Nations League group stage, clinching a first place finish for the first time in the competition’s short history. Florian Wirtz and Tim Kleindienst each scored a brace, while Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala and Leroy Sané both found the back of the net.

After the match, Germany’s manager Julian Naglesmann had high praise for the entire squad.

“We played with a lot of desire both offensively and defensively,” said Nagelsmann (via @iMiaSanMia). “It was almost perfect. Even after the substitutions there was no drop in the performance. That was a very good game. The counter-pressing was the most impressive thing today. That was exceptionally good.”

Naglesmann’s side has scored 17 goals in the five matches but only conceding three goals. The team is playing loose on offense and working hard on defense.
