Jude Bellingham snaps up Midlands plot to build two plush pads worth combined £7m
Jude Bellingham has snapped up some land in the Midlands to build two plush pads.
Bellingham, 21, has been strutting his stuff in Spain for Real Madrid, but he appears to have one foot still in the UK. According to the Daily Mail, the wonderkid has his eyes on a new house in the leafy suburbs of Birmingham.
The Real Madrid star has purchased some land in Barnt Green, the Midlands’ answer to Alderley Edge – which has become a hotbed for footballers in recent years. The affluent village already houses Three Lions team-mates Ollie Watkins and Jack Grealish.
There is currently work being done on a five-bedroom, four-level home on Bellingham’s plot, which was formerly part of the garden of a house which has now been demolished.
And a second, similarly designed five-bedroom house is being built by the same developer on the spot where that house stood.
Locals in the area have speculated that the houses, which are rumoured to be worth £7million, will be used for Bellingham himself and his parents.
The Real Madrid star is no stranger to the area – having been born 11 miles north in Stourbridge and he was spotted on the high street last month.
A local told the Daily Mail: “The word is that he’s buying one house for his parents and he’s going to have the other. I’m not really into football but everybody’s heard of Bellingham.”
While another resident added: “It’s a very wealthy area and people here appreciate their privacy. There are plenty of footballers in Barnt Green, people don’t bat an eyelid.”
Bellingham, alongside his mother Denise, purchased the plot of land for £825,000 last April. The report adds that the pair were keen on the area as it’s “nice, quiet and friendly”.
