Jeff Stelling has named the player Newcastle United are absolutely not going to sell in the summer transfer window.
JEFF STELLING CLAIMS NEWCASTLE UNITED WILL NOT SELL THEIR ‘ABSOLUTELY TREMENDOUS’ PLAYER FOR EVEN £100M
Newcastle United are one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League and have lofty ambitions for the future.
Eddie Howe’s side finished fourth in the Premier League table last season and played in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League this campaign
Newcastle were expected to kick on this season. Although the Magpies have been disappointing, Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) are not going to give up on their ambition to establish the club among Europe’s elite.
The Magpies have a number of quality players on their books, including midfielder Bruno Guimaraes and defender Sven Botman.
Winger Anthony Gordon has been playing brilliantly lately as well, and there is also Alexander Isak, who has been compared to former Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
On Saturday evening, there was a discussion on talkSPORT about the future of Isak, with pundits Gabriel Agbonlahor and Jamie O’Hara suggesting that the striker will leave Newcastle in the summer transfer window.
Jeff Stelling gives verdict on Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak’s future
TalkSPORT presenter Jeff Stelling has now given his take on the situation, and he is confident that Newcastle will not sell the striker for even £100 million.
Stelling said about Isak on talkSPORT (7:38 am, April 15, 2024): “There is no way, there is no way in this world that Alexander Isak will be going anywhere during the summer, not for £50 million, not for £70 million, not for a £100 million because Newcastle United will, to a great degree, build their team around him. He is absolutely tremendous.”
Newcastle have to keep Alexander Isak
Alexander Isak has established himself as one of the best strikers in the Premier League. The 24-year-old Sweden international striker scored twice against Tottenham Hotspur at St. James’ Park in the Premier League this past weekend.
Isak has scored 17 goals for Newcastle United in the Premier League this season. He has only three fewer goals than Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.
In my opinion, if Newcastle are to establish themselves are regulars in the Premier League top four in the coming years, then they have to keep Isak.
The Swede is only 24 now and is going to improve in the coming years.
