Inzaghi: “We played well, we’re having a good campaign”

The Inter Head Coach shared his thoughts at the end of the close win over Leipzig, on Matchday Five of the Champions League
Another win after an intense game: Inter win 1-0 at home against RB Leipzig on Matchday Five of the Champions League and currently occupy top spot with 13 points.

Simone Inzaghi spoke at full-time:

“We’re satisfied because we knew the importance of the match, we played a team on zero points but who are still good. RB Leipzig are a quality side with great players, we played well and suffered a bit. We are happy, but we know that there’s still work to be done to get to the top eight. There are still games to come but our campaign has been very good, with four consecutive wins without conceding, we are really happy. I was quite scared during the match, but we are an experienced side and had a lot of respect for the opponent, knowing that it wasn’t easy to face them. Everyone’s goal is to get to the final, but we know very well that there’s a lot of games and we play every two days, I’m lucky to have this side who are used to always playing, they are very dependable. I saw an Inter side this evening that was in the match, always on the ball. Not scoring the second goal in the last twenty minutes lowered our levels a bit and they were dangerous after the changes made in the second half. ”
