INTER BOSS SIMONE INZAGHI REVEALS HE IS KEEN ON STAYING AT THE CLUB

February 29, 2024

Inter boss Simone Inzaghi has revealed that he is keen on staying at the club despite interest from other clubs.

The Nerazzurri picked up a 4-0 win over Atalanta in the Serie A yesterday and they stretched their lead at the top of the table to 12 points. They have now won seven games on the trot in 2024 and that is the first time in history that they have achieved that.

After the win over Atalanta, Inzaghi spoke to the press about his future and he was asked about it. The Italian revealed that he is keen to stay at the Nerazzurri and he is happy with the project at the club.

He said (via TMW): “I’m happy where I’m working, I also had a great time at Lazio: I’ve always enjoyed watching my teams play, this is the greatest satisfaction. I’ve been lucky enough to achieve important goals, but in football you have to look ahead.”

When asked about the talk of clubs abroad being interested, Inzaghi said: “It’s enormously pleasing, I don’t think we should just talk about Inzaghi but about Inter. We are doing an excellent job and we must continue to do so. Interests can be read and felt, they have always been there, when I coached Lazio and in the first two years of Inter.

“Let’s hope they are still there in the future, but I’m not interested in hearing them. I’m interested in working well at Inter, with my fans and with my staff: I have many people with me for more than ten years, which help me a lot in this job which gives so much satisfaction.”

There has been talk of the fact that Inzaghi has attracted interest from Chelsea, but he is keen on staying at the club. Inter will hold talks about a new deal soon and it could take place in the next few games.
