He reminds me of Steven Gerrard – Scamacca hails Arsenal’s new signing

West Ham United star, Gianluca Scamacca has hailed Arsenal-bound Declan Rice, comparing the midfielder to Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.

Rice is awaiting his announcement as an Arsenal player after the Premier League sides agreed a deal worth £100 million and £5 million in add-ons.

For Scamacca, £100 million and £5 million is too low for a player of Rice’s calibre, adding that Rice should cost more than one hundred-twenty million as the best player he has played with.

He said that the England international reminds him of Liverpool Gerrard.

Scamacca told Nima Tavallaey Roodsari:

“£120m price tag? If anything, it’s too low! He’s a great player. He reminds me of Gerrard. He’s the best midfielder I’ve ever played with.”

Rice has also reportedly passed his medical. However, the club are yet to announce the transfer.
