Has Alejandro Balde done enough to earn regular minutes at Barcelona with his performance in El Clásico?

Time to talk the left-back’s place in the team

Alejandro Balde was asked to come off the bench for the final hour of Barcelona’s 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid in El Clásico on Sunday after Xavi Espart’s first half injury, and certainly did very well for himself.

Balde had been struggling for minutes this season until a serious injury crisis hit the Barça defense, opening the door for the left-back to make a real case for regular playing time.

His performance on Sunday was strong enough to at least cause Hansi Flick to re-think his role going forward, perhaps even after the injury situation at the back improves.

So today’s Barca Blaugranes Question of the Day is:

Has Alejandro Balde done enough to earn regular minutes at Barcelona with his performance in El Clásico?
