Greenwood now hoping for Man Utd stay

Mason Greenwood is desperate to stay with Manchester United.

Greenwood is waiting on a final decision from the board about whether he can rejoin the squad after having assault charges dropped.

The Sun says the forward wants to stay and has told his friends he “realises he has to grow up” after becoming a father earlier this month.

A source said: “He’s being encouraged to speak publicly and to have his voice heard.

“But, privately, he has told those close to him that he has learned a huge amount.

“He became a father for the first time earlier this month and realises he has to grow up.”
