FC Bayern, Harry Kane won’t talk contract until summer at the earliest
FC Bayern and Harry Kane have a while before they talk about an extension.
Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl was recently asked about a new contract for Harry Kane and — as some fans feared — the two sides will not meet until the summer. That likely means that this situation will linger until after the World Cup:
Max Eberl on Harry Kane’s future: “We will speak to him in the summer.”
How do you feel?
Eberl: “I see him, I feel him. He feels incredibly good. He’s winning titles with the team, also receiving individual awards, and breaking records en masse. Since his move to FC Bayern, the esteem in which he is held, even in England, has increased dramatically.”
So…is there a chance that Kane decides not to extend his deal past 2027? Well, yeah, there is that possibility, but the likelihood is that Kane is taking a very low risk gamble on himself. Based on his current book of work, Kane is due for a nice bump in his total financial package. However, if Bayern Munich wins a treble or even a double — and England wins the World Cup — Kane’s value will get boosted further.
For Kane, there is zero reason to rush this. The Englishman is already going to get paid and that figure can only go higher based on the successes he has between now and time the two sides sit down at the negotiating table.
